What is The Promise?

In April 1997 at the Presidents’ Summit for America’s Future , Presidents Clinton, Bush, Carter, Ford and First Lady Nancy Reagan representing President Ronald Reagan, joined General Colin Powell in the Presidents' Summit for America's Future. They offered a challenge for all Americans to help at-risk youth gain access to five basic tools that create opportunities for success.

These resources are known as the America's Promise Five Fundamental Resources, The Promises: America's Promise ask every community, organization and individual in the nation to help fulfill the Five Promises for every young person.

The Little Red Wagon
